Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.

(Proverbs 18:12)

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

(Proverbs 16:18)

As it did in the angels that sinned, who, through pride, fell into condemnation, not being able to bear the thought that the human nature, in the person of the Son of God, should be advanced above theirs; and as it did in our first parents, who, not content with their present state and circumstances, and ambitious of being as gods, knowing good and evil, ruined themselves and all their posterity; and as it has done in many of their sons, as in Haman, Nebuchadnezzar, and others;

and a haughty spirit before a fall; or, "a high spirit", or "height of spirit" (i); a man that carries his head high; looks upwards, and not to his goings, sees not at what he may stumble, and so falls: moreover, the bigger a person or thing is, the greater is the fall; and very often when a man has got to the height of his riches and honour, and is swelling with pride and vanity on account of it, he is on the precipice of ruin, and his fall is immediate; which was the case of Nebuchadnezzar, who while he was expressing himself in the haughtiness of his spirit, being in the height of his glory, his kingdom departed from him, Dan_4:30; and this will be the case of the man of sin, or antichrist, Rev_18:7. What is the nature of your problem? Is it someone else constantly making mistakes that you would not make and you feel that you have to lampoon and lambaste them for their "obvious"

wrong doings? Were you placed in a position of authority by God or a government or did it come by being inundated by surrounding individuals, circumstance or happenings. Many people who are insecure in themselves lash out this way and cause grief for their self as well as those around them. As time passes they are older' and it is less easy to change their ways. Eventually they become where no one wishes to be around them and they sit and wonder why no one visits, calls or writes While the whole time they never see their folly.

Is it actually everyone else who is wrong or is it the fact that they never learned humility and how to live life without commanding' everyone else. This is because the Holy Spirit has never been allowed to fully penetrate the heart and make a difference. Maybe once they felt the peace that passeth all understanding' (Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Philippians 4:6-9))And after that they did not like it or know how to accept for they feel unworthy and condemn their self so they seek their own comfort zone of old. Do not look back to the old ways; look ahead to Christ and what He can do for you. If someone is different or "oblivious" honestly and earnestly seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and make it a matter of deep prayer. It is never a matter of being right more than someone else, for that is pride and God hate's Pride. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

(Proverbs 8:13)

Seek out those who you have caused to stumble by your pride ask their forgiveness and seek the Lord's help to overcome this and have victory. If you are in surroundings that are spiritually unstable and full of oppression, leave that place and do not return. If every day you feel the same, chances are it is you and the fact that you have not been covered by the blood as scripture declares. Ask God to help you in the name of Jesus and then believe that He has and will.
