Trials

Though he shall slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain my own ways before him.

(Job 13:15 Webster)

As I sit here with spasms in my left and right kidney area from a moving kidney stone …. I just cannot help but praise the Lord!

As I sat in a very hot tub of water this morning after leaving work unexpectedly and coming home for obvious reasons….the Holy Spirit brought something to my mind and heart. It is this simple fact –

When we go through a trial, no matter if it is a kidney stone, a sick child, or a plethora of other items I can list but will not…. Not only are we going through a trial and being tested but everyone around us is also being tested.

When I called my employer this morning after working only 4 of my 9 hours, I just had to go – and even in pain, I do enjoy my job as does my wife. Eventually I would love to be a full time minister but for now God has blessed and placed us here to grow…either case, I was very disappointed in myself and at the situation and then it, as I said, was brought to my heart and mind.

God allows people to go through trials for a reason but also He allows me, for example, to go through a trial and He is in turn watching those around me to see how they respond. He, as God and as the Holy Spirit is aware of our every thought, murmuring, mumbling, writing, deeds and more. God sees us and we are not hidden from Him.

So when you are going through a trial, praise His name when others around you are going through trials, praise His name and ask for their deliverance and learning to take place speedily and that they will be renewed and healed in body, soul, spirit and mind. Trials affect the mind and soul and that is why we need others to stand with us and uplift us in prayer and personally.

What fruit are you producing through your own or another’s trials?

Blaine you have written another of those soul searching articles which just hits the brain, a good and interesting read making us realize that our whole life is filled with trials - whether large or small, through our faith in God we can overcome any obstacle no matter how big it is.
