Only the redeemed will hear His voice on that day!
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
As we read in the above Scripture we not that Jesus used an analogy of the harvest and in that period and at that time there were different harvests and crops as there are now. One crop could be planted and in four months be ready and when it was due to harvest another crop would have just been planted and thusly there are or were three harvests per year due to place, climate and crop, Etc. We also see from this that the time of planting and harvesting is now!
Jesus made sure that in the minds of those then and that in our minds now we must be steady, sure, true and uniform in our sewing and reaping. The solid fact is shown – Souls are to be our number one priority and it is an urgent task that we must be at. We are not to wait for some future time when it seems right to go see Mr. or Brother. Sinner – we are not to wait to see Sister or Mrs. Better than you ….. we are to make time and opportunity to visit (plant) and then we are to , by faith, expect the harvest.
Some will come in as soon as you speak to them and others will come in later and unfortunately some will not come at all and we also know from Scripture that if we do not attempt to plant and prepare for a harvest much as a farmer does – then we wind up with nothing and in more ways than one. Jesus puts souls in our lives either to grow us or for us to grow them and He also puts people in our paths so that we can witness to them – and different people do seemingly have different results and opportunities, however, we are not to watch people go by so to speak likes ducks in a shooting gallery and then pick who we feel like witnessing to (planting). We are to witness (plant) all we come in contact with that are not saved and another fact is this: If you have even the slightest doubt about someone being a “believer" then you need to make haste before it is too late.
The only chance is on this side of the grave, when you die, it is final and what you do here is what determines where you go! Too many people say that God Judges and only He knows and maybe at the last second they _________and the blank is filled in. Scripture points out we will stand before Jesus as saved or we will face Him as Lost. The savior is also the Judge….How do you wish to face Him and how do you wish others to face Him? If your son or daughter or mom or dad were a lost soul and you knew the answer, Jesus… Wouldn’t you tell them? All souls are of equal value and excuses will not cut it for being a poor leader, teacher, witness and Christian. Jesus cares not for what your favorite team is, or TV show, or newest gossip story…He died for souls and all else is temporal.
Expecting revival is the only true way to see it happen – wondering if the preacher will preach Hell is Hot or if He will Preach Syrup flavored pellets of wisdom and throw down flowers as He walks by. . . Friend, you better hope He has met with the Holy Spirit as allowed by God and then he preaches what was given and not what sounds pleasing.
WHY?
The largest ‘mega-church’ in the USA has problems and they are huge. Recently the so called “pastor" said in an interview over a popular news Channel, “we have to rethink our message" – well that is his first mistake, he should have a Word from God and not manmade foolishness and here is why. He said when we started our church we went door to door and asked people what they wanted to hear taught in the church – This was all done on printed out questionnaires and then tallied. Here is what people said:
1) No songs about the Blood of Christ
2) No sermons that tell us we are sinners
3) We want to hear the good things and positive messages
There are more but I am sick to my stomach at this and so I must stop the list at three….
So in the interview he says this is what we did ______ and he calls the interviewers name and we have done this for several years. We did not preach, sing, teach or talk about the blood because people say it is gory, we talked not about sin in any sermon and we never challenged the people to examine their lives or those around them or in their families. We did not want to offend anyone ____and he calls the interviewers name….. The News Anchor says “what is their status today"? This is the worst part –
The “minister" says: ______ we took another survey just last week and finished the tally. ______ we sent out a questionnaire that leaves the signature as anonymous and it is all done and in truth but you have a real freedom because you do not have to sign your name so you will not be embarrassed. ______ we got the things and just sat there in awe and shock. Our church is full of Homosexuals, Lesbians, Adulterers, people that drink or are alcoholics and he continued naming things off…. Then he says ______ it is as if we are just a building full of worldly approved people or as if we have just given them nothing that has changed their lives and we must rethink our message.
How many have been lost because the truth was hidden or not told? How may coffer fillers died thinking they were OK because the gutless preacher stood there and gave them what they wanted. Friend, I can go from Ezekiel – to Matthew and all the way to Revelation and show you that if you deny the Word, if you hide the Word, if you disguise the Word or if you make the Word anything else but the truth , you stand in fear of Judgment and this man is and will be in Judgment for his laziness. He can die saved but he will be and has been the cause of others going to hell….THINK ABOUT IT.
What do you think gives us the Liberty to be free from Sin …?
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. ( Hebrews 9:22)
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ( Revelation 1:5)
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. ( 1 John 1:7-10)
I could continue . . . dear sir or lady – Jesus death may be looked at as Gory and as He hung totally naked before the World that day and His body was bruised for us …. And when it says this it refers to His entire Body being as one large bruise when read in the original meaning and text. His head swollen twice the normal size, he was unrecognizable as a man, the thorns that were over 2 inches long driven onto his head and skull and the poison from them causing blisters and a rash all around, the spikes driven through His Wrists, His feet, when His bowels or bladder needed relief, it was from the cross that He released it – humiliation, embarrassment, degrading, horrible death…lips swollen and cracked, hungry, thirsty, every nerve screaming….. And He said Father forgive them….and He said to the thief you will be with me in Paradise…
PEOPLE – YOU HAD BETTER BE ON YOR FACE AND IN TEARS THANKING HIM FOR THAT BLOOD that these people in their foolishness do not wish to sing about….and just look at where being “kind" and “dressing like the world to reach the world" got them and their whole church! When the cross and sin are not preached and when favoritism is shown and when you do not want to embarrass someone, who in the world is saved and how did they get saved and if they are saved they cannot stay in that church in its current condition.
Mark 8:38 and Luke 9:26 tell us not to be ashamed of Him...or else!
People say “I am not ashamed" or I love God…. Jesus barely exits their mouth and if you ask them to witness to someone they look at you like you have ten heads…. Then it is oh! Well! You are one of those Fanatics…. I just cannot do that and they have a million excuses…. Catch the same person on game day and see if they have trouble talking about who scored the most points or etc.
People are not defined by who they are but what they stand for and what they do….I am not through with this but am done for now …. Part three soon to come.
