Eeyore Christians!

What would the world be without "wet blankets", "worry warts", and "party- poopers"?
Let's face it, there would be nobody to cry in your soup, rain on your parade, or weep "woe is me" and snuffle in your handkerchief, that's what!
"Good morning Mary Sunshine" may not come across the lips of every the optimist, but pessimists prefer precipitation and pity pots. Since misery loves company, then there's probably no better Gloomy Gus to have around than A.A. Milne's beloved beast, affectionately known as "Eeyore".
No one can work, play, parent, live and do other things right or as well as they can…. Their sadness and disgust with their own life turns into pride, arrogance, and the full dependency on self even though they say “it is not so". They strive to be what God desires but in their zeal they go about it the opposite way. Much like a person who is training to be a lawyer …. They know what to say and even how to say it and are chomping at the bit for their first trial…..they walk out and what they really know is lost in a flash……Nervousness, shyness, style and senses… all because they did not complete training…their zeal go the best of them…
Moving forward –
Worrying is a waste of very precious time. Worrying won't help you solve a problem or bring about a solution, so why waste your time and energy on it?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
(Matthew 6:27-29 KJV)
Worrying is destructive to us in many ways. It becomes a mental burden that can even cause us to grow physically sick.
Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
(Proverbs 12:25 KJV)
The energy that we spend worrying can be put to better use in prayer. Worry replaced by Prayer equals Trust.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? (Matthew 6:30 KJV)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 KJV)
When we keep our eyes focused on God, we remember his love for us and we realize we truly have nothing to worry about. God has a wonderful plan for our lives, and part of that plan includes taking care of us. Even in the difficult times, when it seems like God doesn't care, we can put our trust in the Lord and focus on his kingdom. God will take care of our every need.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? (Matthew 6:25 KJV)
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:31-33 KJV)
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:7 KJV)
Do not be an Eeyore Christian – and when you see one try to be as good a friend as pooh! Always offer a kind pleasant word and a smile and remember to pray for them always….
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9 KJV)
